2026 AMPHI SWAP MEET VENDOR GUIDELINES & RESPONSIBILITIES

FEES: free for Amphi residents selling personal items, products from hobbies, pre-packaged homemade food, etc.

$10 fee for sellers residing in other neighborhoods. Payment required to confirm spot. Payments can be made via Zelle, or you can come pay in cash in person. Limited spaces available!

Fees are nonrefundable unless the event is canceled by organizers.

LOGISTICS: Our previous community event made it glaringly obvious that in order for things to go smoothly on the day of the event so we can open the gate to the public on time, we need an organized system. The purpose of the Swap Meet is also to build community among Amphi residents, so mutual aid and communication are paramount!

As result, all registered vendors will be expected to attend a (casual) group orientation either in person or via Zoom, to learn about how things will be done (including staggered arrivals and help with unloading), and get to know new neighbors. Almost all organizers for this Swap Meet were vendors at the November yard sale! We had fun! 

We will host at least two sessions to make sure everyone can attend one. Non-Amphi residents are also expected to attend, but only the first part is mandatory (the second half is only relevant to members of the community, but “outsiders” can stick around and participate).

The event closes at 2pm. Sellers must pack up and remove any unsold items from the premises immediately thereafter. Please don’t leave anything behind!

Bring everything you need to set up your space the way you want – tables, chairs, tarp/blanket, canopy, cash box, price stickers, signs, etc.

VENDOR CANCELLATION: If you change your mind or are no longer able to attend the event, please let us know as soon as possible so that a vendor on the waiting list has enough time to prepare for the event.

PRICING TIPS: Each seller is responsible for pricing their own goods. Pre-pricing items will make transactions faster and limit haggling. We cannot provide sales support.

SAFETY: Please be mindful of the well-being of buyers when you set up your items (e.g. protect sharp edges with tape). Children will be present so try to keep breakable items out of reach.

PAYMENT: Cash is best, but you may choose to use Venmo or other apps at your discretion. Amphi Neighborhood Association will not be available to make change, so please plan accordingly!

ELECTRICAL SUPPLY: One power source will be available for buyers to test electronics and small appliances.

THE EVENT WILL BE MONITORED BY TRAINED COMMUNITY SAFETY LEADERS, NOT BY TUCSON POLICE.

This is another opportunity to grow our Amphi’Hood spirit! Let’s make event decorations a collective effort, by bringing generations of Amphi residents together to make a variety of crafts while getting to know new faces of all ages 😊
